Govind Shree Granites

Our shop is located at Plot No. 81-E in the Jigani Industrial Area, Phase-I. Being in Annekal Taluk means it gets pretty warm in the afternoons. We focus on granite here. We have stacks of slabs leaning against each other in the yard. It is a lot of grey and black stone mostly. We have been working in this spot for a long time now. I took over from my father and we just kept the same way of doing things. We don't have a fancy showroom. Customers just walk through the rows of stone to see what they like. It is better to see the actual slab in the sunlight. The noise from the cutting machines is something you just get used to after a while. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. We usually start very early before the sun gets too high. We load the trucks by hand or with the small forklift we have. It is heavy work and we are usually tired by the time we close up. We don't use any corporate talk or big promises. We just tell you what the stone is and where it came from. Sometimes the edges are a bit rough, but that’s just how it is before the final polish. We like being part of the Jigani community. It is a simple life of moving stone. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to do the work right and get home.
