Golden Palms Hotel

Golden Palms Hotel is a small place located at 115 on 3rd Cross. We are in the Bhasyamnagar area of Sriramapuram, which is a fairly old part of Bangalore. The building has been here for a while and you can tell by the way the stairs creak. We have rooms for people coming to the city for work or family visits. It is not like those big fancy resorts you see on TV. We have simple beds, clean sheets, and a television in the common area that usually plays the news. The staff here is just a few of us who take turns at the desk and cleaning up. We spend a lot of time sweeping the dust that blows in from the street. Sriramapuram 560021 is a busy place, so there is always noise from the autos and the nearby shops. We keep a ledger on the front counter to write down names when people check in. In the mornings, the smell of breakfast from the local eateries nearby is very strong. We don't have a big dining hall, so most guests go out to eat. Our job is mostly making sure the water is running and the rooms are ready for whoever shows up next. It is a straightforward business and we just try to keep things running smoothly for the guests who need a place to sleep.
