Our shop is Gnv Rangalah & Company and we are located at number 1 on K V Street, right by the 4th Cross in Balepet. It is a very tight area and sometimes it’s hard for even a small cart to get through the lane. We’ve been in this specific spot for a very long time now. The shop is small and every bit of wall space is used for shelving. It’s not the most organized looking place to an outsider, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. We spend most of the day talking to people who come in from the street. It’s a very local business and we like it that way. We don't have a website or any kind of advertisements. People just know we are here because we’ve always been here. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, then a sudden rush where everyone wants something at once. The building is old and it gets a bit dark inside, but we have some good lights over the counter. We don't use any corporate talk or try to sound bigger than we are. We are just a small shop in Balepet trying to make a living. We know the other shopkeepers and we often share news over the morning tea. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and that suits us just fine. We just try to provide what people need and keep our doors open for the next person who walks in.
