Ganesh Marble And Granite is at 19/11 Carmelaram. We have a lot of heavy stone slabs sitting around our yard. It is a very physical business. Every day we are moving big pieces of marble and granite around, and they are quite heavy. There is always a lot of white stone dust on our clothes and on the office furniture. We have many different kinds of stones, some with nice colors and some more plain. Carmelaram is a bit on the edge of the main city, so it feels a little different out here, though it is getting more crowded every year. We don't have a polished showroom with lights. Our slabs are just leaning against walls so people can see them in the sunlight. The work involves a lot of lifting and we use saws with water to cut the stone, so the ground is usually a bit wet and muddy. It is a tough job and we are on our feet most of the day. We don't use the computer much, mostly we just talk to the people who stop by looking for stone for their new houses. We keep things very simple and straightforward. There is no sales talk here. We just show the stock we have and tell people the price. It is a basic, honest way to run a business. We just keep moving the slabs and doing the work.
