G M Granite

Our place is out at 22/1 and 22/2 in Jigani, specifically the Pali Hill area. If you know this part of town, you know it is all about the stone business. G M Granite has been sitting here for quite a while now. The yard is usually full of slabs that we get from the quarries. It is a loud place because of the cutting machines and the trucks backing in and out all day long. My clothes are always covered in that fine white stone dust by the time I head home at night. We deal with all kinds of granite, from the plain grey ones to the pieces with more movement in the patterns. It is heavy work, honestly. We use the cranes to lift the big pieces so people can see the full slab properly before they decide. The weather out here in Jigani can get pretty hot, so we spend a lot of time under the tin roof of the shed. It is not a glamorous job, but we like seeing the finished stone when it is polished up. We just focus on getting the slabs loaded and making sure the measurements are right for the customers. It is a straightforward business. We have been here in this spot long enough that the neighbors all know us by name. There isn't much more to it than just hard work and heavy stones every day of the week.
