Fortune Electronics

Fortune Electronics is sitting at No. 1, R Street, in the Shanthinagar area. Being at number one makes us easy to spot, I suppose. The shop is filled with all sorts of electronic components, wires, and gadgets. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, with things stacked on shelves and some parts waiting to be tested on the benches. We aren't one of those bright, shiny electronics stores you see in the malls. This is a place for people who actually need to fix things or build something. We spend a lot of time looking at small parts under magnifying lamps. The light in here is a bit dim, except for the work areas. Shanthinagar is a decent neighborhood, and R Street is usually manageable, though parking can be a headache. We have a few regulars who come in just to see what new bits we’ve got or to ask a question about a circuit. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us, some soldering irons, and a lot of circuit boards. Sometimes the smell of solder is pretty strong, but you get used to it. We just enjoy the technical side of things and keeping the shop running. We open up, sort through the new arrivals, and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life surrounded by technology and the hum of testing equipment.
