Finesse Stones

Finesse Stones is located at 223 Lalbagh Road, right on the corner of Kk Road. It’s an area known for commerce and it’s always crowded with people and vehicles. Our shop is filled with various slabs and tiles, which means there is very little room to walk around sometimes. The air usually has a bit of stone dust in it, even though we try to keep it clean. We spend our time showing people different textures and colors, often moving heavy pieces around so they can see them in the light. The building is an older one and the stairs are a bit narrow. We don't have a fancy showroom with spotlights; we just have the stones stacked up where you can actually see and touch them. Being at the intersection of Lalbagh and Kk Road means there’s a lot of honking and street noise that comes through the open doors. We’ve all learned to speak a bit louder to be heard. Most of us have been working with stone for a long time, so we know the quirks of the different materials. It’s a physical job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We have a small corner with a table where we can sit and have a glass of water when it’s not too busy. It’s just a normal, everyday business in a very busy part of the city.
