This Fidelity Investments office is situated at Flat 79 in the Jeevan Griha Colony, which is part of J P Nagar 1st Phase in Bangalore. It’s a residential area, so it feels a lot calmer than the main commercial hubs. Being in a colony means we have a bit of greenery around and it isn't so loud. The office is basically a flat that we’ve converted into a working space. It’s got a very homey feel to it, which we actually prefer over a cold office building. We sit at our desks and handle the day-to-day operations without much fuss. There’s a kitchen where we make our own tea and sometimes share snacks. It’s a small team, so we all know each other well. Most of our day involves managing accounts and keeping our records straight. We don't have big signs outside or anything like that. It’s a quiet spot where we can actually focus. Sometimes you can hear the kids playing outside in the colony or the vendor calling out on the street. It’s a very typical Bangalore neighborhood experience. We like being in 1st Phase because everything is accessible, but we are tucked away enough to avoid the worst of the noise. It’s a simple, functional place for us to do our jobs. We don't need much more than a good chair and a working internet connection to keep the wheels turning every day.
