Fayaz Tiles & Company is located at 576 Bannerghatta Road. Anyone who lives in Bangalore knows that this road is one of the busiest places you can be at any time. The traffic is almost always backed up, and the sound of constant horns is something we just live with from early morning until late night. We have a lot of heavy tiles stacked up here in our space, and we spend a good chunk of our time loading and unloading them from the back of trucks. It’s a lot of physical labor, so we usually feel it in our backs by the end of the week. The shop is quite open to the street, which is good for people to see what we have, but it means we get all the exhaust and the noise from the traffic. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s a practical space where we show the real product to anyone who stops by. We mostly just talk to builders and local people working on their houses who need something reliable and fair. We’ve been on Bannerghatta Road for a good while now, and we’ve seen the whole area change a lot with all the new buildings and apartments going up. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, without any fuss. It’s simple work, really. We make sure the numbers are right and the tiles get where they need to go. It’s a busy life.
