About Explora Marbles – Building & Construction Material in Bengaluru
We've been at 35 Seshadripuram for quite a while now. Dealing with marble is a heavy job, literally. My father started this and now I'm mostly the one here managing the yard. It gets pretty dusty, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the stone just right. People come in looking for something specific for their kitchen or maybe a bathroom floor. We have different slabs leaning against the walls. Some are from nearby, others come from further away. It’s not a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s a workspace. Sometimes the colors of the stone look different under the lights than they do outside, so we tell people to take a good look before deciding on anything. Handling marble takes patience because it can crack if you aren't careful with the crane or the transport. We spend a lot of time just moving pieces around so people can see the patterns clearly. Seshadripuram is a busy spot, so getting the trucks in and out can be a bit of a headache with the traffic around the corner. We just try to get the orders sorted and sent out to the sites on time. It's honest work, mostly involving heavy lifting and keeping track of inventory. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know how to handle the stone without hurting themselves. If you're walking by, you'll probably hear the sound of the cutters working through a block. That’s just how it is here every day of the week.
