We have been at JP Nagar 44/1 for quite a few years now. The shop is full of plastic containers and buckets stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific color when someone asks for it, but we manage. Empee Plastics isn't a fancy place. Most days start around nine when we roll up the shutter and sweep the front. The dust around here is constant, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the lids. People from the nearby apartments come in for small things like mugs or stools. We don't have a big staff, just two of us usually. My cousin helps out during the busy hours in the evening. We keep a ledger on the wooden desk which is getting a bit old now. The back room is a bit of a mess with all the packing materials and bubble wrap lying around. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door wide open. Most of our stock comes from the main market once a week. We try to keep the prices fair so the locals keep coming back. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to tell people to wait until tomorrow. That's just how it goes here. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in because they know where we are. It’s a quiet life, mostly just talking to the regulars and organizing the shelves over and over again.
