Elmec Engineers

If you go to Kadugondanahalli Hebbagodi and head up to the second floor at number 467, you’ll find Elmec Engineers. We’ve been in this space for a bit, surrounded by machines and a lot of metal scraps. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it, being up the stairs and all. We do engineering work, mostly fixing things or making small parts that people need for their machines. The floor is usually a bit oily and there’s always the sound of someone grinding something in the corner. We aren't a big corporation. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We take orders, look at the specs, and get to work. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning just getting them calibrated right. It’s part of the job. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. Most of our tools have been with us for years. They’re old but they still work better than the new cheap stuff you see around. People come to us because they know we won’t give them the runaround. We just tell them what can be done and how long it’ll take. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the inventory, but we know where everything is. Mostly. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing what we can to stay busy and helpful.
