Dv Karthik Marble Grainte Exports Pvt Ltd is located at 197/4 in Thamasandra Village. We are out in the Kasaba Hobli area of Kanakapura. Even though the name sounds big, we are just a local operation working with stone every day. The yard is quite large because we need the space for all the granite and marble blocks. It’s a bit out of the way, so it’s quieter here than in the city, except for when the saws are running. Those machines make a lot of noise and spray water everywhere to keep the blades cool while they cut through the rock. We get pretty wet and messy doing that. Most of our day is spent checking the slabs for cracks or loading them onto the big trucks that come through the village roads. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, so we have to pack everything really carefully so nothing breaks. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and shifting things. We have a small shed where we keep the paperwork and take our breaks. Sometimes we sit outside and watch the trucks go by. It’s not a fancy setup, just a place where we cut stone and get it ready to be sent out. We’ve been here in Thamasandra for a bit now and the locals know us.
