Dresense

Dresense is located in Malleswaram West on C T Street Cross, specifically on Chowdeswari Temple Road 60/4. This area is full of life and color, especially with the temple nearby and all the flower sellers on the street. Our shop is a bit small, and it’s packed with fabrics and clothes. You can hear the hum of sewing machines from the back room where the tailoring happens. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of cloth and piles of trimmings. It’s a bit messy, with threads all over the floor, but that’s just part of making clothes. People come in to look at what we have on the racks or to get something measured. The lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but we have bright lamps over the cutting tables. We’ve been on Temple Road for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. The smell of incense from the temple often drifts into the shop in the mornings. It’s a very local feel. We don’t have a fancy display window, just some of our latest work hanging up where people can see it. Sometimes we get really busy before festival seasons and everyone is working late into the night. It’s a small, family-like atmosphere where we just focus on the garments and the customers who walk through the door. There is always a tape measure draped around someone's neck.
