Disha Beauty Parlour

Finding us at No.261/29/3 on 10th Cross in Wilson Garden is usually pretty easy since we are right opposite SBM. This part of Bangalore is always noisy with traffic, but once you step inside Disha Beauty Parlour, it’s a bit quieter. I’ve been running this place for several years now. It started out very small, just one chair and a few bottles of nail polish. Now we have a bit more room, but it’s still just a local spot for the people living nearby. I do a lot of haircuts and skin treatments, nothing too complicated. The tile floor is a bit old and shows some wear from the chairs moving around, but I keep it swept. I don’t like those big corporate salons where everything feels cold and stiff. Here, we just talk like neighbors. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings, so we have to be careful with the hair washes. I usually keep some old magazines on the table for people who are waiting. Most of my customers are regulars who live just a few streets away. They don't want anything fancy, just someone who knows how they like their hair done. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so I keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through Wilson Garden. It’s an honest way to make a living and I enjoy seeing the same faces every week. It is just a basic neighborhood shop.
