Devatha Plastics

Madanayakanahalli is quite far out in Dasanapura Hobli and it feels more like an industrial village than a city. Our place Devatha Plastics is at 20/1/3 and it is basically a big shed with some machines running. The road outside is not paved very well so it gets really dusty in the summer and very muddy when it rains. We have been working here for a while and the noise of the plastic molding machines is something we are just used to now. It is quite hot inside because of the heat from the machines but we keep the big front door wide open. We do not have a fancy office or a place for people to wait. Usually if someone comes to see us they just stand by the door and shout so we can hear them over the motors. We eat our lunch together in a small corner where we have a plastic table and a few mismatched chairs. Most of the guys working here live nearby so we are like a small family. We do not spend much time cleaning the walls or making things look pretty because there is always work to be done. We focus on making the parts and getting them loaded onto the trucks. It is hard work and our clothes usually have a bit of oil or plastic dust on them by evening.
