Dakhani Degh Hotel

Over at Jayanagar Kirloskar Layout, specifically Hesaraghatta Main Road 30, you’ll find Dakhani Degh Hotel. The name comes from the big pots we use, the deghs, which you can often see in the back. We specialize in those slow-cooked dishes that take a lot of time and patience. The Hesaraghatta Main Road is usually humming with activity, and our little hotel fits right into the mix. It’s a straightforward place with simple benches and tables. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. It’s just a group of us who know how to handle the spices and the meat. The smell of the cooking starts early in the morning and fills the whole shop by noon. We get a lot of workers from the Kirloskar Layout coming in for their midday break. It’s a hardworking neighborhood, and we just try to keep up. Sometimes the floors get a bit scuffed from all the boots coming in and out, but we keep things clean enough. I like seeing the steam rise when we open a fresh pot. It’s a bit of a traditional way of doing things, nothing like those modern fast-food chains. We are just a local spot on the main road, serving whoever comes in with a hungry stomach. People around here seem to appreciate that we stick to the basics and don't change things up too much.
