Civil Engineer & Contractor

I run a civil engineering and contracting business from house number 71 on the 1st Main in Renukamba Nagar. We’re right off Chunchagatta Main Road in Bangalore. Being both an engineer and a contractor means I'm usually wearing two hats at once. One minute I'm checking the structural drawings, and the next I'm talking to the guys on the ground about why the bricks haven't arrived yet. The Chunchagatta area is pretty busy, and the traffic on the main road can be a real headache when I'm trying to move equipment around. My office is a bit messy with samples of tiles and bags of cement sitting in the corner, but that’s just how it goes when you’re doing the actual building work too. I’ve been in this part of Bangalore for a long time, so I’ve seen 560 062 change quite a bit. I don't go in for big marketing or fancy presentations. Most of my work comes from people walking in or hearing about me from a friend. I like being involved in the whole process from start to finish. It’s a lot of responsibility, and some days nothing seems to go right with the weather or the labor, but we manage to get things finished eventually. I keep things practical and don’t make promises I can’t keep. It's a small local operation, and that's how I like to keep it. I’ve worked on everything from small sheds to multi-story houses around here.
