Chitra Hotel

Chitra Hotel is sitting right at 309/2 in Sanjay Nagar, specifically in the Dala Patel Ni Pole area off M G Road. If you know the 560094 area, you know how these streets can be. It’s a bit of an older spot and we’ve tried to keep things pretty much the way they’ve always been. We don’t have those big shiny signs or automatic doors. It’s just a basic place to stay and eat. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance because the building isn't exactly brand new. There’s always a tap to fix or a room that needs a bit of a scrub. M G Road is always humming with noise and people, so being tucked away in the pole gives it a slightly different feel. We see all kinds of people coming through here, some just for a night and others who stay a bit longer. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see one of us sitting at the front desk or helping out in the back at any given time. We don't have a corporate manual or anything. We just talk to people like regular people and try to help them out if they need directions or a towel. It’s a simple life running a hotel in this part of town. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next person to walk in through the doors.
