Chimes Inn Hotel Whitefield

Out here in Whitefield, things are always under construction. Our place is at No. 3 and 4, right in the Sadaramangala area near the KIADB offices. It’s a practical kind of spot. Most people staying here are working at the factories or the tech parks nearby. The road outside can get really dusty, so we’re always dusting the lobby furniture. It’s a simple setup. We have the rooms, a small area for breakfast, and that’s about it. I spend a lot of time checking people in who look tired from the Bangalore traffic. The building is a decent size, and we try to keep it looking okay, but it’s a constant battle with the heat and the dust from the Whitefield Road. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything like that. Just a few of us making sure the beds are made and the water is running hot. It’s a quiet place at night once the trucks stop moving as much. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have the backup ready to go. It’s just a regular hotel for regular people trying to get their work done in this part of town. The 560066 area is busy, but we’re a bit tucked away from the absolute worst of it. We keep things basic and make sure the guests have a place to sleep that isn't too loud.
