Chamundi Beauty Parlour

You can find us at number 9 on Armstrong Road, which sits right on Veera Pillai Street. We are quite close to Commercial Street, so the whole area is usually buzzing with shoppers and traffic. It is one of those parts of Bangalore where something is always going on. Our parlor is a small, ground-floor space. It is not very big, but we have got enough room for a couple of chairs and a waiting bench. The walls have some simple mirrors and a few posters. We keep the place clean, but it is definitely a working shop, not a showroom. We spend a lot of time sweeping up hair and wiping down the counters. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood or folks who are taking a break from shopping nearby. It is a friendly vibe. We do not have any corporate training. We just learned by doing and have been at it for years. The 560001 area is where we feel at home. Sometimes it is noisy outside with the honking and the crowds, but that is just part of being near Commercial Street. We open the doors every morning and see who comes by. It is a simple life and a simple business. We do not make big promises; we just try to do a decent job with whatever someone needs, whether it is a quick trim or something else.
