Castlestone Ventures Private Limited is up on the 7th floor of the Arden Fair complex. It’s a commercial building right in Pai Layout, along the Old Madras Road. Being up high means we get a lot of natural light, which is nice for a change. The office is pretty open. We have a few partitions but mostly we just see each other throughout the day. We’ve been here for some time now. The commute can be a bit of a hassle depending on the traffic, but that’s just Bangalore for you. We deal with various ventures and business projects. It’s mostly sitting at computers and having quick meetings around the table. We don’t go in for fancy jargon or trying to sound more important than we are. We are just a group of people trying to make these ventures work out. The building has a lot of other businesses too, so there is always someone coming or going in the elevators. Sometimes we stay late when a project is particularly tricky. We don’t have a chef or a fancy breakroom, just a kettle and some biscuits. It works for us. We like the Pai Layout area because it feels connected to the rest of the city. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s straightforward work in a straightforward office.
