The shop is in Hongasandra, and if you've been here, you know the roads can be a bit of a mess when it rains. We have been here for a few years now, just handling the daily business of supplies. It's a plain building, nothing that stands out from the street. I usually get in around nine and start by checking what arrived late the previous night. We have a lot of stuff stacked up, sometimes nearly to the ceiling. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the front door wide open to catch any breeze. There’s a tea stall just two doors down, and that’s where I spend most of my breaks talking to the other shop owners. We don't do fancy displays. If you need something, you just ask, and we go find it in the piles. It’s a bit of a maze back there, honestly. Sometimes a cat wanders in and sleeps on the sacks, and we just let it be. We aren’t trying to grow into some huge corporation; we just like keeping the neighborhood supplied with what they need for their projects. Most of our customers are builders or local handymen who know exactly what they want. They don't want a sales pitch, just the price and the item. That suits us just fine.
