Burhani Hardware Store

We are located at number 19 on Gurukar Ramnayak Lane, which is right off the main Sadar Patrappa Road. Burhani Hardware Store is basically a room full of metal, tools, and anything else you might need for fixing things. The smell of oil and iron is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have rows and rows of small drawers that hold everything from tiny brass screws to heavy-duty bolts. Half the time, we’re climbing up a ladder to reach something on the top shelf. The lane outside is usually crowded with people moving goods on wooden carts. It can get pretty cramped inside when we have a few people waiting. The floor is made of stone and it’s got plenty of chips in it from dropping heavy tools over the years. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The walls are mostly covered in hanging saws, wrenches, and coils of wire. Usually, the morning is spent checking what we sold the day before and seeing what needs to be ordered. It’s a bit of a maze in here if you don’t know where things are kept. We know exactly which drawer has what, even if the labels have faded away. It’s a simple hardware business where we spend our days surrounded by metal and grease. It’s been our daily spot for a long time now.
