V-stone

Our yard is tucked away in the 3rd Phase of the Bommasandra Industrial Area, which is part of Anekal Taluk. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly factories and big warehouses around here. We deal with stones, so having a lot of space is really important for us. The ground is usually covered in some kind of grit or stone dust, and there is almost always the sound of a crane or a truck somewhere nearby. It’s an industrial vibe, nothing like a shopping mall. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard checking the quality of the blocks and making sure the cuts are coming out okay. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Bommasandra, especially in the middle of the day when there isn't much shade to hide under. We have a small office area where we keep the records and handle the phone calls, but most of the real work happens where the stone is piled up. It’s a practical way to work. We’ve got a few guys who have been with us for a long time and they know exactly how to handle the heavy slabs without making a mess of things. Every day is pretty much the same: unload, check, sort, and load it back up again for the next person. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday through Saturday. The traffic around the industrial area can be a real pain in the neck, but we’re used to it by now.
