Bharath Tiles Co is situated at 153/3 Lalbagh Road on the first floor. Lalbagh Road is one of those places that always feels like it is moving at a hundred miles an hour. There are so many shops selling hardware and construction stuff around here. Being on the first floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which is a lot of exercise for us. Our shop is full of samples and stacks of different materials. It is a bit cramped, honestly, and there is always a layer of fine dust on everything no matter how much we clean. We have been here for a long time, and we know most of the other traders on this street. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is just a place where you can see what is available and talk to us about what you need for your house. Sometimes customers get frustrated because parking on Lalbagh Road is nearly impossible, and I can't say I blame them. We usually spend our mornings checking the stock and the afternoons talking to people who drop in. It is heavy work dealing with tiles, and our backs often ache by the end of the day. But it is what we do, and we have been doing it right here in this old building for years.
