Berger Paints I Ltd

Berger Paints I Ltd is out here in New Guddadahalli. Specifically, we are at the Petal Puttaiah Industrial Estate, number 114/16. Things stay pretty dusty around here. There are always buckets and tins of paint being moved from the trucks to the floor. The smell of thinner and pigment is very strong, but it is something you stop noticing after the first week of working here. It is a real industrial area, so the whole day is about the trucks. Loading and unloading is the main rhythm we follow. We spend a lot of time checking the different batches and looking at those little color charts. It is not what I would call a glamorous job. The floor is stained with about a hundred different colors of spilled paint. We have the office part in the front and then the big storage area in the back. It gets very hot under the metal sheet roofing in the afternoons. Most of us have been working in the paint line for a long time. We know which tins are which just by looking at the labels from a distance. The estate itself is always busy with other units making all sorts of things. We just do our part here with the Berger supplies. There is a lot of paperwork because the inventory is always changing. It is physical work moving the heavy containers around all day. We just keep the stocks moving for the people who need them.
