Battery Tec

Out here in Peenya, things move at a different pace compared to the rest of the city. Battery Tec is located right in the middle of all the workshops and factories. We deal with batteries of all shapes and sizes, mostly for vehicles and heavy machines. It is heavy work, and our hands are usually dirty by noon. The air in Peenya is always thick with the sound of machinery and big trucks. Our shop is simple, just enough space for the stock and a small area to test things. People bring in their old batteries, and we see what can be done with them. Sometimes they just need a good charge, but other times they are completely dead and need replacing. We have been at this for a good few years now. The floor is concrete and usually has a few scuffs from moving the heavy units around. It is not the kind of place you come to hang out, but we try to be helpful to whoever stops by. Most of our customers are from the nearby units or local drivers who know us well. We do not spend much on decorations because it is a workspace first and foremost. Dealing with lead and acid means we have to be careful every day. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. It is a straightforward business. We show up, handle the batteries, and go home. That is just how it goes for us.
