Battery Point has been sitting here at Rajivgandhi Circle for quite a while now. We are located at number 850 in Electronic City, which is a place that never really sleeps. Our shop is just a basic spot where people come when their car or bike battery finally gives up. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows. It is mostly just racks of heavy batteries and a few tools scattered around the floor. The walls have some grease marks and the floor is usually a bit dusty from all the traffic outside. I run the place with my cousin, and we spend a lot of our time sitting on plastic chairs drinking tea while we wait for the next person to roll in. We keep various brands in stock, but sometimes we run out and have to wait for the delivery truck. It gets a bit hectic in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work and their vehicles won't start. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the old board out front that’s started to peel. We try to get people back on the road as fast as we can without making a big fuss. It’s a simple life and the work is heavy, but it keeps us busy. We close up when it gets dark or when the tea stall next door shuts down. That is pretty much our daily routine here at the shop in Electronic City.
