Our place is at No. 4/2- Apr on Crescent Road in the High Grounds area. It’s a nice part of the city with a bit more space than some other crowded blocks. Batavia Exim Pvt. Ltd. is where we spend most of our waking hours. We handle various export and import tasks for our clients. The office is usually filled with the sound of the printer going off. We have a lot of documents to manage for every single shipment that goes out. It’s a lot of detail work that can be quite tiring by the end of the day. We don't have any corporate slogans on the walls or mission statements. Just some calendars and maps to track where the ships are. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the files get messy when we are busy. We have a small staff who have been here for years. We know each other's coffee orders by heart and help out when someone is overwhelmed. Dealing with global trade means we sometimes have to be here at odd hours to talk to people in different time zones. It’s not always a 9-to-5 job. We just do what needs to be done to get the cargo moving. The neighbors are mostly other offices, so it’s fairly professional around here. We don't try to impress anyone with fancy talk. We just focus on the logistics and making sure the numbers add up.
