Pratibha Marbles

Our place is located at No. 8/2, right behind the MICO factory on Bannerghatta Road. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know how crazy the traffic can get, especially with the buses and the metro construction going on forever. We are tucked away a bit, so it is a little quieter once you get off the main road. We deal in marbles. It is a dusty business, honestly. There is always a fine layer of white powder on everything, no matter how much we sweep. We have various slabs leaning against the walls and stacked up in the yard. People come by to look at the patterns and the colors for their floors or kitchens. It is heavy work moving those stones around. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. Most of our customers are locals from the surrounding neighborhoods who are renovating their homes. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned showroom. It is more of a functional yard where you can see the actual stone as it is. We spend our days measuring slabs and talking to contractors. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we just put on our boots and keep working. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big talk. We just show you what we have in stock and tell you the price. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it seems to work for us and the people around here.
