Jaya Chamarajendra Road is a busy stretch, and we are right there at number 3 2. It’s an old building, but it serves us well enough for what we do. We’ve been operating Bahgayalakshmi Enterprises from this spot for years. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or handling the small bits of trade that come our way. We don’t have any slick presentations or a big corporate vibe here. It’s more about knowing the regulars and making sure we have what they need in stock. The shelves are pretty high, so we’re often climbing ladders to reach the stuff tucked away at the top. It can get a bit dusty, especially since the road outside is always under some kind of construction or just full of passing buses. We have a small desk where we keep the books, and it’s usually buried under receipts and notes we’ve written to ourselves. We don't really have a set way of doing things, we just handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s a quiet morning where we just sit and drink tea, and other times everyone shows up at once and it’s a bit of a scramble. We’re just local people trying to keep a small business going in a busy part of town. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
