Automatic Variac Control

Our workshop is located on Banneraghatta Road 8109-190/175. It’s a long address for a place that does a lot of specific work. We handle variacs and control systems, so there are always wires and copper coils laying around the benches. It’s a bit of a maze back there. The smell of solder is pretty much permanent in the air. We’ve got some old machinery that still works better than the new stuff. Most of the guys here wear heavy boots because we’re moving heavy transformers around. It’s a bit noisy when the testing starts. We don’t really have a reception area with fancy chairs; you just walk in and someone from the back will come out to help. The traffic on Banneraghatta Road is always a mess, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning. We spend a lot of time staring at meters and adjusting knobs to get the voltage exactly right. It’s precise work even if the shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling packed with spare parts we’ve collected over the years. Some days are slow and we just clean the tools, but other days everyone is rushing to finish a big order. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical bits. It’s a solid place with people who actually know how things work inside the box and it works for us.
