Aswini Mens Beauty Saloon is tucked away in the basement of the Konark Hotel on Residency Road. It’s a bit of a hidden spot if you aren't looking for it, but once you find the stairs down, we are right there at No.B-6. Being in the heart of Bangalore means it’s always hectic outside, but down in the basement, it’s a bit quieter. I opened this shop because the location seemed good for office workers and travelers staying at the hotel. It’s a traditional mens saloon. We don’t have any of those modern spa features. We have sturdy chairs, good lighting, and sharp razors. Most of our customers come in for a quick beard trim or a haircut during their lunch break or after work. We keep things moving pretty fast. It’s a small team here, just a couple of us who know how to handle different hair types. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the mirrors are clean and the service is straightforward. We don’t try to sell you expensive shampoos or products you don't need. You come in, get your hair cut, and go back to your day. It’s a simple way of doing things that seems to work for the people around here. We’ve been in this basement for quite some time now, and we like the regulars who keep coming back. It's just a solid, no-nonsense barber shop for everyday guys.
