Our office for Bescom is located near Rajeshwari School in Mariyappana Palya. The address is 13/11D on Magadi Road, right here in Bangalore. Being an assistant engineer in this part of the city means you’re always dealing with something. Bangalore has grown so fast that the power lines are constantly being worked on. We’re just a small team trying to keep the power steady for the houses and small shops around Mariyappana Palya. It’s a lot of coordination with the line crews. You get to know the regulars who walk by the office every morning. It’s decent work, even if it’s a bit stressful when the grid is struggling. We just take it day by day and try to keep everyone’s fans running during the summer months. There is never a dull moment when you are working with the city's power supply.
