Rocktech Granites Pvt. Ltd.

Rocktech Granites Pvt. Ltd. is based out in Haragadde Village, which is in the Jigani Hobli area of Anekal Taluk. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here to Sy No. 113/1, and the roads can be a bit rough depending on the season. Because we are in an industrial area, the scale of things is a bit bigger than a regular shop. We have huge blocks of granite sitting around the yard, and there is always the sound of machinery or forklifts moving in the background. It’s a dusty place, and by the afternoon, everything is covered in a fine grey powder from the stone cutting. We spend a lot of time out in the sun or under the big sheds, checking the slabs for cracks or weird spots in the grain. It’s not a quiet office job at all. We eat our lunch together in a small room off to the side, and then it’s back to managing the loads coming in and out of the village. The weather really affects us here; when it rains, the yard gets muddy and everything slows down. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a working site where we process the stone. Most of us have been working here for years and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the hard physical labor that comes with running a granite yard.
