We are over in Malleswaram at No. 1, Shamantha Plaza. It is on Coconut Avenue Road, right at the 6th Cross. Malleswaram has that old Bangalore feel that we really like. The plaza is not very large, and we are easy to spot once you get to the corner. Since we focus on ENT, we see a lot of people with earaches, blocked noses, or sore throats. We have some specialized equipment in the back for checking ears. The waiting area has a few chairs and some old newspapers that are usually out of date. The windows look out onto the street, so we can see the flower sellers and the people going about their business. It can get quite loud with the traffic and the horns, but we close the glass door to keep it a bit quieter inside. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though footprints are hard to avoid during the rainy season when it gets muddy outside. Our staff is just a few people who have been here for years. We know the regular patients who come in for their routine checkups. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of life in this area. It is a straightforward clinic without any bells and whistles. We just focus on ears and throats and try to help.
