Down here in Hedge Nagar, specifically at the 1st Main in 1st Block, you'll find our little plastic shop. It’s mostly just stacks of containers, buckets, and household items. We’ve been at this location for a good amount of time. My father started selling plastic goods back when the area was much quieter than it is now. I took over a while ago. It’s a dusty job sometimes, moving all these crates around, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a website or anything. People just walk in from the street when they need a new water drum or some kitchen containers. We try to stock what people actually use every day. It’s not a glamorous business, but it's steady. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to keep the front clean, but we do our best with a broom every morning. We know the neighbors well. Often someone will stop by just to chat for a minute while they’re out shopping for groceries. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. If you need a bucket, we show you what we have and tell you the price. That’s about it. Dealing with plastic means we see a lot of different colors and shapes every day. It’s a lot of lifting and organizing. We keep the shop open late most nights because that's when people are heading home from work. It’s a simple way to spend the day and we like it.
