Active Power

Mallathahalli is where we’ve set up our shop, Active Power. We focus on things like inverters and backup power systems because the electricity around here can be a bit unreliable sometimes. When the lights go out, people start thinking about us. We have various units sitting on the floor, and we spend a lot of time testing batteries to make sure they hold a charge. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for families and small shops that can’t afford to be in the dark. We keep things pretty informal. You might see us sitting on a stool out front when it’s quiet. We don't have a big sales team, just a couple of guys who know how to wire things up. We go out to houses to install the systems, so the shop is often just a place to store gear and recharge. We’ve been in Mallathahalli long enough to know which streets have the most power cuts. We don't use big words or try to sell you stuff you don't need. We just look at what you’re running—maybe a few lights and a fan—and tell you what will work. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood running even when the grid fails. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with wires and tools, but we always know exactly where the right voltage tester is hidden.
