Our office reflects that in a way; it’s simple and doesn’t have any of that modern corporate glass-and-steel look. We handle various financial tasks, which mostly involves a lot of data entry and talking to people about their accounts. The 5th Cross can get quite busy with shoppers, especially on the weekends, but inside it’s usually calm enough to get work done. We have a few old wooden desks and some chairs that have been around since we first opened. There’s a ceiling fan in every corner to keep the air moving during those hot Bangalore afternoons when it gets a bit stuffy. We aren't big on formalities here. We usually just get our work done and chat with the neighbors during our breaks. The office is a bit small, so things can get a little crowded when we have several people visiting at once. We like being in this neighborhood because everything we need is within walking distance. It’s an honest place where we put in our hours and go home to our families. We've seen a lot of businesses come and go on the 5th cross, but we've stayed put right here behind the clothing store, just doing our thing year after year.
