Aar Kay Plastics

If you go down Avenue Road into the Byraveshwara Industrial Area, you’ll find us near the Bhel petrol pump. Aar Kay Plastics is tucked away in the Deepanjali Nagar section, and it’s a place where we’re constantly surrounded by the smell of heating plastic. We’ve got a couple of different units listed under the same name, like 17/A and 584, because we needed more space as we grew. It’s a real industrial setup—no air conditioning, just big fans and the sound of the injection molding machines. We make all sorts of plastic items, and there are always stacks of crates or bins waiting to be loaded onto trucks. The floors are concrete and usually covered in a bit of plastic scrap that we sweep up at the end of the shift. It’s a family-run kind of feel even though it’s an industrial unit. We’ve got workers who have been with us for a decade, and we all just know our roles. The traffic around the petrol pump can be a nightmare when we’re trying to get a delivery out, but we manage. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy molds and packing boxes. We don’t have a fancy office to show off; if you come to see us, you’re going to be right there on the shop floor where the work happens. That is just how we have always done things.
