Aafiya

Aafiya is our little spot at 75/B in Chickpet. If you know Chickpet, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can get. Our place is right in the middle of all that hustle. We deal with a lot of different items depending on the season, but mostly we stay busy with the daily trade. It is a small space, but we make it work. The walls are lined with whatever we are selling at the time. Most of the people who come here are looking for something specific and they know we usually have it. We don't spend money on fancy displays. We just put the goods out where people can see them. It gets very loud outside with the vendors and the shoppers, but that is just how life is in this part of town. We have been here for some years now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the market. Some days are very long, especially when the festivals are coming up. We just keep our heads down and work through the orders. We are not a big company with many branches. It is just this one spot in Chickpet where we do our business. We know the other shopkeepers around us, and we all help each other out when needed. It is a practical way of living and we are happy to be part of the community here. We stay open until the work is finished and the street starts to quiet down.
