People know us around here because we are right near the Sai Temple in Shahu Nagar. If you look for number 587, you will see the piles of bricks sitting there. It is a bit of a dusty place, but that is how it goes when you deal with this kind of work every day. My family has been doing this in the Belgaum Kutchery area for a while now. We don't have a big fancy office or a secretary answering phones. It is usually just us out there moving things around or checking the stacks. The morning starts early before the sun gets too hot. We have a few guys who help with the loading. Sometimes the trucks are late because of the traffic near the temple, but we just wait and get the work done when they arrive. The bricks aren't anything fancy, just the standard kind you need for building a wall or a small shed. We spend most of our time making sure the stacks don't fall over and checking that the red clay is drying right. It gets really quiet in the evenings once the workers go home. We just try to keep things moving and stay busy enough to pay the bills. If you walk past, you might see us sitting on a bench having tea. There isn't much more to it than that. We just sell bricks to whoever shows up at the gate.
