Shri Renuka Cold Drinks House

Our shop is located at Shop No. 1923/2, right at the Court Circle in Hukkeri. It is a very busy spot throughout the day because of the court being located so nearby. People are always coming and going from the government buildings. Shri Renuka Cold Drinks House has been right here for a good number of years now. It is not a very big shop, just enough room for the refrigerators and a few stacks of plastic crates for the soda. We spend the whole day serving the people who come by after they finish their work at the court or the local government offices. It is a very simple setup. The floor is made of old stone, and we have a wooden counter that has clearly seen better days. We don't have any fancy printed menus or neon lights in the front windows. It is just the cold bottles kept in the fridge and a small place for someone to sit down for a minute or two. During the hot summer months, it gets really crowded in here and we can barely keep the bottles cold enough for the high demand. We know all the regular lawyers and the clerks who work in the circle. They come in for a quick break and a bit of a chat. Sometimes we run out of small change, so we have to run next door to the other shops to ask. It is just a normal, local life for us here. We open up early.
