We are right on Platform No 1 at the Belgaum railway station. It is a very busy spot to be in, honestly. People are always running past us with heavy bags, trying not to miss their trains. We see the morning commuters and the long-distance travelers every day. Since we are inside the station, it gets quite dusty and loud, but we’ve gotten used to the constant sound of the announcements by now. Food Plaza Sai Balaji Food And Beverages is just a small operation. We focus on getting things ready quickly because most of our customers don't have much time to spare before their departure. The kitchen is small and we have to be very organized to make it work. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when two big trains arrive at the same time. We don't have a big menu. We just keep the basics that people seem to want when they are traveling. It’s a practical kind of job. We show up early, set everything out, and wait for the first train of the day. It’s not a glamorous place, just a stall on the platform where we work hard. We know a lot of the regular railway staff who stop by for a quick chat. It’s a unique place to work because the crowd is always changing. We just stay here on the platform and keep going through the noise.
