Shri Guru Mahant Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Govanakoppa, working out of the Sch Foundation building. It is a quiet spot in the Bailhongal taluk. Mostly, we are just a group of local farmers who decided to pool things together under the name Shri Guru Mahant Farmers Producer Company Limited. Farming around here is hard work, and we spend most of our days dealing with the crops and the unpredictable weather. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a room where we meet up to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and how to get a decent price for what we grow. People stop by the office when they need something or just to check in on the latest news from the fields. It gets very dusty in the summer and quite muddy when the rains come, but that is just how it is in this part of the country. We try to help each other out with equipment or advice when someone is struggling with their land. The building is easy to find if you are coming through the main part of the village, even if the paint is peeling a bit. We have been here for a while now, just doing the daily work that needs doing. It is not always easy, and sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much for us to handle, but we keep at it. Most of us have lived in this area our whole lives, so we know the soil pretty well. There is always something to fix or a problem to solve, but that is just part of the job for us. We just sit together, drink some tea, and figure things out together.
