Bhuvanasiri Farmers Producer Company Limited

Bhuvanasiri Farmers Producer Company Limited is located right over in Beedaki, very close to the milk dairy. Being near the dairy means there is always some activity going on and plenty of people moving around even early in the morning. We are just a group of farmers who decided it was better to work together than try to handle everything alone. It’s a small place, labeled as number 02, and it’s basically where we meet to figure out the crops and the prices for the season. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we know the soil in Ramdurg pretty well. It’s not easy work and sometimes the rain doesn't come when we need it to, but having the company helps share the load among us. We sit around on plastic chairs talking about seeds or fertilizers. It’s not a corporate setup with suits or anything fancy. Just dusty boots and talk about the harvest. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves if we can. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but that’s not really a priority when there is work in the fields to do. We just want to make sure the members get a fair deal for what they grow. It feels right to be doing this for the community here in our village.
