N.R.Walikar Flour Mill

The N.R.Walikar Flour Mill is located at L.B.S Market, which is right near P.B Road. It is a busy little corner of the market. People are always passing by on their way to grab vegetables or other supplies. Our mill is run by N.R. Walikar and a couple of helpers. We don't have much room, but we have enough space for the grinding machines and the bags of grain. Most of our work involves taking raw grains and turning them into fine flour for cooking. It is a very hands-on job, and your hands are always dry from the flour. The noise from P.B Road mixes with the sound of our motors. We have been in this spot for quite a while, so most of the regulars just walk in without saying much. They know how we work and we know what they need. We don't use any fancy marketing or anything like that. We just provide a basic service for the families nearby. Sometimes the market gets very crowded, making it hard to move the heavier bags around, but we manage. It’s a straightforward life working in the market. We open up early and stay until the evening rush is over. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is steady and keeps us busy. We just keep the machines oiled and the customers happy with their flour.
