Nirani Sugars Ltd

We are located out in Bijapur, Karnataka, right in the heart of the sugar belt. Nirani Sugars Ltd has been part of this landscape for quite some time. If you drive past 586101, you can't really miss the place. It is a big operation with a lot of noise and movement, especially during the crushing season when the trucks are lined up. We work with a lot of farmers from the surrounding villages. They bring in their cane and we get to work. It is dusty and loud, and there is always something that needs fixing or adjusting. We don't spend much time in offices; most of the work happens on the floor or out where the cane is being unloaded. It is physical work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. The rhythm of the place depends on the harvest. When it is busy, it is really busy. When it is not, we spend our time maintaining the machinery and getting ready for the next round. We are just a local company doing what people in this part of Karnataka have done for generations. It is not always easy, and there are days when things go wrong, but we just keep pushing through. We know our neighbors and the people we buy from. It is a simple life centered around the sugar industry and the hard work of the local community.
