Out in Veerapur specifically at 2-1235 in Bailhongal is where you will find us. It is a quiet area compared to the city but the sugar business keeps it interesting. The air always has a bit of that sweet heavy smell from the processing. We have got a big space here because we need it for all the equipment and the storage. The floors are concrete and they have seen a lot of wear over the years. We do not mind it because it shows we have been working hard. The staff here mostly comes from the surrounding villages. We all know each other’s families and what is going on in the area. It is not like those big companies where you do not know the person at the next desk. We drink our coffee together in the mornings before the machines start up. Bailhongal is a good place for this kind of work. The roads are a bit bumpy getting here but the trucks manage just fine. We do not have a polished website or a bunch of slogans. We just have the mill and the people who make it run. The metal roof makes a hell of a noise when it rains and we have to wait for the storms to pass before we can hear each other again. We have got a few old benches out front where the drivers sit and wait for their paperwork. Being out here in Veerapur suits the way we like to operate every day.
